LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT
...director Dennis Iliadis and his cinematographer Sharone Meir do a smooth job of handling space and time to create suspense. The film is an effective representative of its genre, and horror fans will like it...
Sharone Meir's cinematography is surprisingly lyrical for such a dark tale. It obviously goes without saying that The Last House on the Left is not an easy film to sit through -- particularly its most talked about sequence -- but it deserves a better critical shake than it's getting for provoking its audience into questioning how they feel about the violence they've witnessed.
Tech credits are solid across the board for "Last House on the Left," most notably Sharone Meir's memorable camera work and John Murphy's atmospheric original score.
